Two UNC Charlotte researchers have been selected by NCInnovation’s Board of Directors to continue their work through a pilot grant program. Sukumar Kamalasadan, Duke Energy Distinguished Professor of Electric Power Engineering, and Jordan Poler, professor of chemistry, are among eight UNC System faculty selected for grants.

- Reminder: The virtual public presentation for the second finalist for the associate vice chancellor for facilities management position is at 11:45 a.m., today, Thursday, May 23.
- Laura Peter recently was named executive director of the UNC Charlotte Office of Research Commercialization and Partnerships.
- Effective July 1, 2024, the Department of Public Health Sciences will become two academic units — the Department of Epidemiology and Community Health and the Department of Health Management and Policy.
- HR update: Employees can schedule a personal, 30-minute consultation to discuss their retirement-related questions.
- The Clear Pricing Project will continue in 2025 when the State Health Plan transitions from Blue Cross NC to Aetna. Providers need to renew with Aetna by Friday, May 31, to be a CPP provider in 2025. Learn more information and if you should contact your provider on the HR website.
