- Reminder: Eduroam wireless network authentication will now accept only @charlotte.edu credentials and no longer accept @uncc.edu credentials. All users must either “trust the certificate” or “forget the network” and log back in.
- Please review this important information to prepare for the launch of Concur in August.
- The Office of Parking and Transportation Services was named an accredited parking organization with distinction for demonstrating best practices in responsible parking management and operations, customer service, professional development, sustainability and access management, safety, data security and risk management.
- TSERS employees can register for either of the NC Total Retirement planning webinars being offered; they are scheduled for 3 to 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 16, or 9:30 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 23.
- Learn more about the NC 401(k) and 457 savings programs available to state employees by registering for a webinar scheduled for 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 17.
- TIAA has a new website homepage and is hosting a webinar to walk through the new features at noon, Thursday, July 18.
- Participate in a free, statewide worksite wellness webinar, “Mindful Eating Habits” scheduled for 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 23, presented by Katie Gordon, RD, LDN from LifeStyle Medical Centers.
- 49er Mart Users are invited to attend a 49er Mart virtual forum from 2 to 4 p.m., Thursday, July 25. Registration is encouraged, and more information is on the 49er Mart message board. You also can learn more about the highlights of the 49er Mart 24.2 upgrade.
- Starting Friday, July 26, the software and IT-related request form will have a new look and dashboard feature.

Associate Professor Thomas Schmidt’s large-scale artwork “Connected” has been installed in Duke Energy Plaza, the company’s headquarters in uptown Charlotte. Schmidt employed student and alumni assistants in the creation of the 75-foot wall installation, composed of 175 porcelain panels and 50 mirrors. “Connected” is based on a map of Charlotte’s electrical grid.
Did you know?
If you are on campus this summer, you might notice new dumpsters and trucks. On Monday, July 1, the University’s waste-hauling contracts that split services between two companies took effect. Crown Waste and Recycling Systems LLC, a female-owned, Charlotte-based company servicing Mecklenburg and surrounding counties, is emptying campus trash dumpsters. Republic Services is continuing to service dumpsters for cardboard, recycling and large projects and events.

- Mary Alexander Road will be closed from the East Deck roundabout to the Levine Hall roundabout from today, Monday, July 15, through 5 p.m., Friday, July 26, for repairs near the Robinson Hall bus stop. Lot 28 will remain open with access from East Deck. The crosswalks will be closed; pedestrians should use the ADA lot by Johnson Band Center.
- The Bank of America ATM at the Prospector Building will be out of service July 29-30 for replacement.

- Question, Persuade, Refer is a 90-minute training that teaches individuals how to recognize the warning signs of suicide, including verbal, behavioral and situational clues. The next student training is virtual from 1 to 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 23.
