UNC Charlotte jumped to No. 81 in U.S. News & World Report’s 2025 Best Colleges rankings, a 15-spot improvement. The University also earned national recognition for innovation, social mobility and six undergraduate programs including nursing and business.

Charlotte community leaders Gené and Fred Klein have made a transformational $10 million investment in the College of Science at UNC Charlotte. In recognition of their exceptional generosity, the college was named the Klein College of Science, and the former Science Building is Klein Hall.
