- AI Institute for Smarter Learning Proposals: The call for proposals for the Center for Teaching and Learning’s 2025 AI Institute for Smarter Learning will open Monday, Feb. 3.
- Legal Training Session: Register for “Potential Higher Education Legal Implications of the New Presidential Administration,” presented by the Office of Legal Affairs, from 11 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, Feb. 5, via Zoom.
- Concur Update: Effective Monday, Feb. 3, the Trip Dates for Pre-Trip Expense Reports will not need to be changed to match the transaction dates.

- Adobe CC Reminder: Adobe will discontinue the Creative Cloud desktop synchronization service and the folder and file-sharing capabilities of synced files Monday, Feb. 3. Verify your Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application is at least version 6.4, or your local copies of synced files will be deleted.

Parents and their children who are in third through sixth grades are invited to the free, interactive National Girls and Women in Sports Day event from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 9, at the Honeywell Building in Uptown. The event features student-athletes from various Charlotte institutions and facilitators from the STEM field. Lunch and giveaways included; register by Saturday, Feb. 1.

- Gold Rush 5K: The 2025 Gold Rush 5K starts at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 1. Review information on packet pickup and where to go on race day.
- 49ers4LIFE Blood Drive: The 16th annual 49ers4LIFE Blood Drive is set for Monday, March 17, in Popp Martin Student Union, Room 340. You can register to be a blood donor on the Red Cross website. Search for sponsor code “49ers4life” to find the drive and schedule your appointment. All donors will receive a free long-sleeved T-shirt!

- Sanford Hall Demo: The contractor will be mobilizing the project site this week to begin the Sanford Hall demolition; a fence will be erected around the perimeter of the site to contain the work area. The project’s first phase, which includes material abatement primarily in and around the structure, will take place from February through May. Demolition will follow and will be completed in August.
