An interdisciplinary team of researchers at UNC Charlotte is harnessing its collective knowledge in computer science, data science, political science, philosophy, computational and health sciences — and more — to establish the Center for Humane AI Studies.

- Upgrade Your Devices: For optimal security and productivity at UNC Charlotte, you must upgrade your University-issued Mac to MacOS Sequoia and JAMF. Review the required upgrade schedule and complete the update process as soon as possible to avoid interruption.

- Last Call: Applications for the spring First-Generation Excellence Awards close today, Monday, Feb. 24, for first-generation graduating seniors. Applications are based on self-nominations for the Community Impact and Golden Achievement Academic awards.
- Desk Assistant Applications: The 2025-26 desk assistant application is open until 11:59 p.m., Sunday, March 2, on eRezlife. Visit the DA employment webpage for more information on the position and how to apply.
- Graduate Executive Board: The Graduate and Professional Student Government executive board is accepting nominations for its 2025-26 board through Monday, March 24. Campaigning will be Wednesday, March 26, through Tuesday, April 8; elections will take place April 9-10.
- Extended Maintenance Scheduled: OneIT will undergo extended maintenance to perform important upgrades from Friday, Feb. 28, through Sunday, March 9.

- FY25 Audiovisual Project Deadline: The deadline for submitting requests for new academic audiovisual projects funded in FY2025 is approaching. To ensure consideration for completion using this fiscal year’s funds, submit all requests by Friday, March 21. Learn more about the team and how to submit a new project request.
- Supplemental Retirement: Employees seeking to increase their retirement savings can participate in one or more supplemental retirement plans — 403(b), 401(k) and 457(b) — through approved vendors. Review the HR website for additional information and learn about special catch-up provisions for employees over age 50, and the new super-catchup for ages 60-63.
