A New Look Is Coming to UNC Charlotte’s Website
UNC Charlotte is launching a redeveloped website beginning Sunday, April 13, as the first step of a phased rollout designed to improve user experience, accessibility and visual design.
- Phase 1 includes a new homepage (charlotte.edu), a reorganized hub for academic programmatic information (academics.charlotte.edu) and a new undergraduate admissions site ( admissions.charlotte.edu).
- Phases 2-4 will follow incrementally through 2026.

- Banner Access Audit: The spring Banner access audit is from Wednesday, April 9, through Friday, May 2. Supervisors must review Banner access for employees.
- Day of Remembrance: Niner Nation will honor the lives of Reed Parlier and Riley Howell and our survivors with a wreath laying at 8:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 30, at the Constellation Garden memorial outside the Kennedy Building.
- Staff Council Nominations: Staff Council is seeking nominees for various positions for the next term, starting in July. Complete this form to nominate yourself or someone else by 5 p.m., Friday, April 18, to be considered.

- Forever a Niner: All spring graduates and their families (up to four guests) are invited to celebrate their Charlotte journeys at a new commencement event hosted by the UNC Charlotte Alumni Association. “Forever a Niner” will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday, May 8, in the Popp Martin Student Union, Room 340. Alumni communities, including the Black Alumni Chapter, Legacy Alumni Network, GOLD Alumni Network, Latinx/a/o Alumni Network, LGBTQIA+ Alumni Network and Niner Varsity Club, will be at the event to help celebrate all graduates.
- Cap and Gown Pick Up: Spring graduates have until Friday, May 2, to pick up their caps and gowns from Barnes and Noble Charlotte in the Popp Martin Student Union.
- Student Voting Honor Roll: Laura Isabel Velez-Figueroa, a senior majoring in exercise science and applied dance, has been named to the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge’s 2025 Student Voting Honor Roll.
- CATS Art Contest: The Charlotte Area Transit System invites North and South Carolina residents to submit original artwork related to the theme, “50 Years of Moving People Forward,” by 5 p.m., Friday, May 16. Three selected winners will receive a monthly transit pass of their choice, a cash prize and will have their artwork printed on bus passes for the 2026 calendar year.
- A2i Series in Charlotte: The spring 2025 Accelerate to Industry professional development series concluded with the first-ever off-site workshop hosted by Cefla North America’s headquarters in Charlotte.
