Undergraduate Research Conference

Don’t miss out on the 2025 Charlotte Undergraduate Research Conference from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, April 17, at the Popp Martin Student Union, Room 340. This University-wide showcase of research projects features undergraduate students of all colleges, departments and levels.

  • Witness in Residence Event: The Anabel Aliaga-Buchenau Witness in Residence Initiative encourages conversations around human rights and global issues. Students can register for an upcoming session on overcoming power structures for strategic grassroots action from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 15, at Rowe Arts Building, Room 130.
  • First-Generation Appreciation Day: Celebrate the first-gen community with delicious food, snow cones and giveaways at the First-Gen Appreciation Day Picnic from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 16, at the Star Quad.
  • Student Engagement Field Day: Build community and take a refreshing break from academics at an outdoor event filled with games and popsicles from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, April 17, on the lawn outside of Fretwell Building and Cato Hall.
  • Hech Lake Days: Soak up the sun and cool off by the water during Hech Lake Days from 2 to 6 p.m., Thursday, April 17; and Wednesday, April 23 and 30, at Hechenbleikner Lake.
  • Wear, Care, Repair: Learn to repair and repurpose clothes to make your closet more sustainable at Wear, Care, Repair: A Clothes Mending Workshop from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday, April 23, in Area 49 Makerspace in Atkins Library, second floor.
