Message from Chancellor Gaber

Dear Niner Nation,

Today marks seven years since April 30, 2019 — a day that profoundly shaped our University.

For many in our community, this date is deeply personal. For others, it is something they have come to know only through the stories shared by others. But for all of us, it remains a day to pause and remember.

We will again place wreaths at the Constellation Garden memorial this morning at 8:30 a.m. If you are on campus, you are invited to stop by for a quiet moment of respect. If you are not on campus, an online remembrance wall is available where you may leave a message.

We mark this day each year not out of routine, but out of responsibility. We keep the promise made to remember Reed Parlier and Riley Howell, to honor our survivors and to recognize the strength and resilience of our community.

Thank you for taking a moment to acknowledge the significance of this day.

Sincerely,

Chancellor Gaber Signature
