This University-wide initiative reflects a strategic commitment to cultivating resilient, empathetic and high-performing leaders across campus.

What to Wear this Football Season
The 2025-26 Charlotte football season kicks off at 7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 29, as the 49ers take on the Appalachian State Mountaineers in the Duke’s Mayo Classic at Bank of America Stadium. The season opener and each home game will have a theme for fans in attendance.

- Aetna Phone Numbers: Currently, employees are unable to change their contact phone numbers in the Aetna portal to a personal phone number. Human resources is seeking a solution; in the interim, the office has posted additional information and recommendations.
- Honors College Course Proposals: The Honors College is accepting course proposals for summer and fall 2026 and spring 2027. Proposals are due Wednesday, Oct. 1; email Cindy Gilson for questions.

- Health Plan Member Alert: Information was recently shared by the North Carolina State Health Plan for Teachers and State Employees about salary-based premiums for the 2026 plan year. The Office of Human Resources is dedicated to providing updated information as it becomes available. You can view the salary-based premium chart and learn more on the HR website.
- Forbes Rankings: For the seventh year in a row, UNC Charlotte has been named to the “2025 America’s Best Employers by State” list by Forbes, which released its rankings Thursday, Aug. 21.
