The 2025 Legal Symposium, presented by the Division of Institutional Integrity, is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to 2:50 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 23, in the Barnhardt Student Activity Center Salons. The symposium features a lineup of interesting and timely legal topics for Charlotte’s faculty and staff, including an afternoon plenary session on the equality policy presented by Jesh Humphrey, vice chancellor for institutional integrity and general counsel.

- New Telework/Remote System Now Live: Human resources has launched the new telework/remote system designed to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Employees who have active telework/remote work agreements that end on Oct. 31, 2025, will need to submit a new request. The start date should be Nov. 1, 2025, and the end date on or before Aug. 31, 2026. Please review the telework policy, supplemental procedures, FAQs and employee job aid to prepare for the 2025–26 telework/remote cycle. For technical issues, please submit a help ticket. - Apply Today: Applications for the Charlotte Urban Institute’s 2025-26 Gambrell Faculty Fellowship program close tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 10. With support from the Gambrell Foundation, the institute will provide grants for six projects related to quality of life in the Charlotte region. Learn more and apply here.
- Grade Replacement Upgrade: The Grade Replacement system will be upgraded beginning Friday, Oct. 17, to improve the system and student-initiated processes.
- Powering North Carolina’s Future: UNC Charlotte is taking the lead in preparing highly skilled STEM professionals with support from Engineering North Carolina’s Future, an initiative backed by a $41.2 million investment in the University by the North Carolina General Assembly.
