The defending AAC champion 49ers (5-1-2) earned its first American Conference regular season title, securing the top seed in the conference tournament and ensuring home-field advantage for its semifinals match at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 12.

An interdisciplinary team of six Charlotte researchers and three local youth arts organizations has received a $500,000 grant from The Wallace Foundation to support an in-depth study of the impacts of arts engagement on youth participants, their families and arts programming providers.
