UNC Charlotte’s financial reporting team receives State Auditor’s Award of Excellence
UNC Charlotte’s Financial Services—Financial Reporting unit has received the State Auditor’s Award of Excellence, a new honor from the North Carolina Office of the State Auditor recognizing exceptional financial management.
The award highlights organizations that consistently exceed expectations in preparing financial statements and federal compliance audits.
“As our team conducts audits, there are some entities that go above and beyond in preparing their financial statements,” said Dave Boliek, state auditor. “High-quality audits contribute greatly to the overall financial health of our state and help our economy and the many businesses that work with the government.”
UNC Charlotte was among several UNC System schools recognized in the awards’ inaugural year. Other schools honored include Appalachian State University, East Carolina University, NC State University, UNC Asheville, UNC–Chapel Hill, UNC Greensboro, UNC School of the Arts and Western Carolina University.
