Support the causes you care about through the Combined Community Campaign.

From education and health to hunger relief, veterans, animals, the environment and the arts, UNC Charlotte employees can support more than 785 charities, including the Arts & Science Council, through this year’s State Employees Combined Campaign (SECC), Oct. 13-Nov. 6.

This year’s theme, P.I.E., emphasizes participation, impact and engagement and the collective difference employees across the state can make through giving. Employees can support organizations focused on education, health, hunger relief, veterans, animals, the environment, the arts and more.

Jessica Waldman

Join campaign co-chairs Tehia Glass, assistant provost for faculty success, and Jessica Waldman, chair of the Staff Council and academic advisor and graduate program director in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, in supporting more than 785 participating charities in our community through a one-time gift or payroll deduction pledge.

“I’m thrilled to participate in this year’s community campaign,” Waldman said. “This initiative highlights that our staff at Charlotte are part of a broader community, showing how employees across the state join together to create meaningful impact. The values of this campaign closely align with our daily work, and supporting the campaign is a reflection of that commitment.”

This year, giving is simpler: All participating charities are available through one portal. You can support any participating SECC charity, including the Arts & Science Council.

Tehia Glass

“One of the strengths of this campaign is that employees can choose to support the causes that matter most to them,” Glass said. “Every gift represents an opportunity to make a difference, and together, our individual choices can have a collective impact across our communities.”

About the State Employees Combined Campaign

The State Employees Combined Campaign allows UNC Charlotte employees to invest in their communities and hundreds of charities across North Carolina. A “combined campaign” allows donors to contribute to both federations and independent charities.
