2022 49er ACE Awards to be presented during Niner Nation Week
Congratulations to the 2022 recipients of the 49er Alumni Campus Employee Award recipients — Sarah Richardson ’13, Allison Sigmon ’08, Kelly Weatherman ’88 and Scott Plunkett ’05. They will be recognized during Niner Nation Week at the ACE Awards and Appreciation lunch at 11:30 a.m., Monday, Oct. 17.
Registration for the lunch is free for alumni campus employees and $10 for all other faculty, staff and guests; the deadline is Tuesday, Oct. 11 Attendees will receive complimentary Niner Nation Week swag, a delicious lunch and non-alcoholic beverages. The event is being sponsored by the 49er ACE Network.
Amazing ACE Award winners
Richardson is director of special projects in the University Development Office. Her collegial spirit has quickly made her a go-to resource for members of university development and advancement. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in public health.
Sigmon is associate director of academic and career coaching in the Belk College of Business. She serves as an academic advisor for pre-business and marketing students and contributes to staff training and professional development. She completed a bachelor’s degree in communication studies and psychology.
ACE Milestone Award winners
Weatherman is associate athletics director for development. Before joining the Athletic Foundation team, she served in student affairs. As a Charlotte student, Weatherman competed for the varsity women’s swim team. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English.
Plunkett is director of alumni operations and special projects in the Office of Alumni Engagement. He completed a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He has dedicated his career to supporting UNC Charlotte and its constituents — first as an admissions counselor and then working his way from assistant director to director in the Office of Alumni Engagement.
