Green with Gratitude is opportunity for students to say ‘Thank you’
From scholarships and campus renovations to cultural events and student support services, UNC Charlotte’s donors continue to enhance the 49er student experience with their generous gifts. Green with Gratitude is a 49er effort established to educate students on the importance and impact of philanthropy.
“Every student on campus has been positively impacted by the generosity of our donors,” said Meagan Jones, director of Donor Relations. “Private support is a vital part of the 49er education, and Green with Gratitude is a way for our students to thank our donors for their unending support.”
Green with Gratitude strives to create awareness of how gifts from alumni, parents and friends impact current students and helps them to express their thanks to the University’s dedicated and loyal donors. The initiative also fosters a spirit of philanthropy within the students before they graduate.
Between Monday and Thursday, March 18-21, the Office of Donor Relations will host stations around campus for students to write thank you notes to UNC Charlotte’s generous donors. These stations will be staffed from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day and will have giveaways for all students who participate.
Station locations are:
- Monday, March 18: Outside the Popp-Martin Student Union
- Tuesday, March 19: EPIC Lobby
- Wednesday, March 20: SoVi, inside on the lower level
- Thursday, March 21: Belk Plaza
