Commencement ceremonies scheduled for Friday, Saturday
UNC Charlotte will hold three ceremonies to bestow undergraduate, master’s and doctoral degrees upon approximately 4,390 students.
At 1 p.m., Friday, May 13, degree candidates for the Belk College of Business, College of Computing and Informatics, College of Health and Human Services and the Graduate School will gather in Halton Arena of the Barnhardt Student Activity Center for commencement.
On Saturday, May 14, the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences — the University’s largest college — and the Graduate School will award degrees at 10 a.m., and the College of Arts + Architecture, College of Education, the William States Lee College of Engineering and the Graduate School will confer degrees at 3 p.m.
Honorary Doctor of Public Service degrees will be awarded to Emily Zimmern, former president of the Levine Museum of the New South, at the Saturday morning ceremony and to Charlotte Observer journalist Fannie Flono during the afternoon event.
As a reminder, to accommodate parking demand for Friday’s ceremony, a number of parking areas will be closed starting at 9 p.m., Thursday, May 12. Click here for more details.
