Flashback Trivia: UNC Charlotte’s First Name

Did you know that UNC Charlotte was established under a different name? UNC Charlotte’s predecessor opened Sept. 23, 1946. Guess the school’s original name; the answer will be revealed in next Tuesday’s Niner Insider.

  • Be aware of a recent direct deposit phishing campaign. A few faculty and staff have fallen prey to a phishing scheme that involved Duo passcodes and direct deposit.

  • Register here to attend the UNC Charlotte Urban Institute’s 2024 Schul Forum at The Dubois Center at UNC Charlotte Center City from 1 to 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 1. National and local experts will explore the spaces where individuals connect in the Charlotte region, asking how those areas foster connection or create barriers to economic prosperity.
  • The Office of Sustainability is hosting two events as part of Niner Nation King Week: Breaking Boundaries Film Festival and Panel Discussion at the Popp Martin Student Union Theater from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday. Jan. 16, and TLC for the Student Gardens from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, Jan.19.
