University’s fall commencement ceremonies set for Dec. 19
Nearly 3,550 undergraduate and graduate students will receive degrees during commencement exercises on Saturday, Dec. 19.
These graduates will swell the ranks of UNC Charlotte alumni, and they will have an impact in the greater Charlotte community and across the nation, said Jenny Jones, executive director of alumni affairs.
“UNC Charlotte’s alumni totals more than 115,000, and this fall’s graduates have experienced a number of historic firsts during their time on campus, including Charlotte 49ers football,” Jones noted. “The Office of Alumni Affairs congratulates this fall’s graduates, and we look forward to keeping them connected and involved with their alma mater. Earlier this year, we celebrated significant contributions from several alums, including Vickie and Gene Johnson, Nancy and David Hauser and Stephanie and Hunter Edwards. We look forward to celebrating the successes of not only this year’s graduates but those of all our alums.”
Two commencement ceremonies will be held Dec. 19 in Halton Arena, located in the Barnhardt Student Activity Center.
Undergraduate and graduate students from the Belk College of Business, the College of Arts + Architecture, the College of Computing and Informatics, the College of Health and Human Services and the William States Lee College of Engineering will receive degrees during the 10 a.m. ceremony.
The College of Education and the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences will confer undergraduate and graduate degrees during the 3 p.m. ceremony.
