CLAS holding holiday card competition
Students enrolled in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences have the chance to see their artwork featured on the college’s holiday card this year. CLAS seeks original photographs, paintings, drawings or other visual artwork that reflects concepts or scenes relevant to the college.
The contest is open to currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students whose major – or minor – is in the college. The deadline for submissions is 5 p.m., Monday, Oct. 26 (Note, this is a change from previously reported). More details are on the Web.
Last year’s holiday card featured a photograph of a snow scene on campus, taken by meteorology student Ricky Matthews. The holiday card is an annual tradition that brings greetings to friends of the college.
In past years, the card has featured scenes from the UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens, snow scenes from on campus and drawings that depicted the college’s disciplines or that focused on the themes of liberal arts and the sciences.
