Trustee named among ‘Most Powerful Women in Banking’

Cathy Bessant, chief operations and technology officer at Bank of American and a member of the UNC Charlotte Board of Trustees, is No. 6 on the list of American Banker’s 25 “Most Powerful Women in Banking,” according to an article in the Charlotte Business Journal.

Bessant reports directly to Bank of America chairman and CEO Brian Moynihan, as noted in the CBJ story.

Appointed a University trustee by Gov. Pat McCrory, Bessant is in her first term on the board.
