- The University received additional guidance from the UNC System on the FY 2023-24 Legislative Salary Increase.

- Important change: Tonight’s Phi Beta Kappa inaugural lecture has been moved to the Fretwell Building, Room 128, at 5:30 p.m.
- The Student Health Center, with volunteer support from the Red Cross Club student organization, is hosting an American Red Cross blood drive in the Cone University Center, Lucas Room, tomorrow, Oct. 17. Go to RedCrossBlood.org to schedule an appointment.
- Let students know about the First Gen Niners support group, a welcoming space for first-generation college students to discuss various aspects of navigating academics, family and life at UNC Charlotte with others who “get it.” Students meet monthly from 3 to 4 p.m. in the Price Center for Counseling and Psychological Services; the next meeting is Thursday, Oct. 19.
- The new Graduate and Postdoctoral Writing Center, a collaboration between the Graduate School, Writing Resources Center and the Division of Research, officially launched Sunday, Oct. 1. Come to the open house Wednesday, Nov. 1, in the Denny Building, Room 213, and learn more about the center.

- Programs is extending the deadline for students, faculty and staff to submit globally-focused events for our International Education Week celebration, Nov. 13-17. Please submit events by Wednesday, Oct. 25. Eligible events may qualify for funding of up to $250.
