- It’s time to start reviewing your benefits to consider making changes during the open enrollment period Oct. 9-27. As a reminder, the enrollment process uses two platforms to make changes to some benefits, so be sure to review how to enroll.
- The William States Lee College of Engineering will host EVRSafe, the first-of-its-kind national conference on electric vehicle racing and related safety challenges Wednesday, Oct. 18, at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
- The Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation will host Golden Hack: Impact Weekend Oct. 20-22. Open to all UNC Charlotte students, participants will collaborate to design, develop and pitch ideas that solve real-world problem.
- UNC Charlotte observes LGBTQ+ history in October (rather than June) when our entire campus community is present to participate. Consider these events.
- The first Julius Chambers Day will be held Friday, Oct. 6, at 9 a.m. at Julius Chambers High School, to honor the life and legacy of the prominent civil rights attorney who devoted his life to fighting for justice and equality.
- FYI: The LYNX Blue Line will suspend operations for preventive maintenance Oct. 7-8.
- UNC Charlotte thanked local legislators for their support during a Charlotte Regional Legislative Caucus meeting hosted on campus Monday, which included tours of two of Charlotte’s newest research centers: CIPHER and BATT CAVE.
