25 Things to Do This Summer
There’s so much to do on campus and in the Charlotte region during the summer. Check out a farmers market, participate in fun summer UREC activities, ride light rail, paddle boat with a friend — the possibilities are endless. We made a list of 25 things you can do. Happy first day of summer, Niners!
- Relax at UREC with some yoga on International Day of Yoga, June 21.
- Celebrate Juneteenth on June 22 at the second annual Juneteenth Block Party, sponsored by the UNC Charlotte Black Alumni Chapter.
- Hang out with people from around the world on June 27 at International Ice Cream Hour, sponsored by UNC Charlotte’s Office of International Programs.
- Add to your wardrobe on June 29 at the Charlotte Vintage Market at Queen Park Social.
- Learning never ends. Take a summer course here at UNC Charlotte.
- Need to get out of the sun but still want to enjoy the pool? Check out the indoor swimming pool at UREC.
- Shop locally at the North End Farmers Market.
- Attend a free concert at River Jam 2024.
- Cheer on Brandt Bronico ’17 and the boys in blue at a Charlotte FC game.
- Go for an open swim at Carrigan Farms.
- Take the light rail to Wednesday Night Live, which includes free admission to the Levine Center for the Arts’ three museums between 5 and 9 p.m.
- Attend a musical at Blumenthal Arts. Students, take advantage of the student discount!
- Get your golf on, and enroll in UREC’s Swing into Summer.
- Need a cute photo-op? Visit the Botanical Gardens, it’s always free!
- Too hot? Cool down with a chilled drink, popcorn and a movie at the Popp Martin Student Union Theater.
