Staff gathered for 2024 Fall Festival

The Staff Council’s annual Fall Festival provided opportunities for colleagues to socialize while enjoying lunch, contests and activities.

“The Staff Council is grateful to be able to host an event that allows staff to take a couple of hours away from their daily tasks while students are on break to eat and engage with each other,” said Jessica Waldman, chair of Staff Council.

Close to 600 staff members attended this year’s festival, held at the Barnhardt Student Activity Center. The event also provided an opportunity for staff to support the First Ward Creative Arts Academy.

The Staff Council is committed to growing engagement efforts with staff across campus through meetings and events. All UNC Charlotte employees are encouraged to attend the group’s monthly meetings, which are held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on the second Wednesday of the month.
