- Open Enrollment: Time is running out! Don’t forget to make your 2025 plan year elections. Open Enrollment ends tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 25, or Friday, Nov. 1, depending on the county in which you reside.
- Commencement Ceremonies: Learn more about the ceremonies for the 2024-25 academic year, which include a separate fall and spring hooding ceremony and conferral of degrees for doctoral candidates; and a dedicated ceremony for summer graduates.
- Football Game Day Parking: Please review important parking and transportation information for the Thursday, Oct. 31, home football game against Tulane.
- Levine Scholars Program: Learn more about Charlotte’s premier merit scholarship, the Levine Scholars Program.

Lime to the Polls: Lime is providing free, round-trip rides to voters from Tuesday, Oct. 29, through Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 5. Use the code VOTE2024 in the Lime app to take an e-scooter or e-bike to the polls!

- 49er Mart Virtual Forum Today: 49er Mart users are invited to attend a virtual forum from 2 to 4 p.m., today, Thursday, Oct. 24. Registration is encouraged on the Learning and Development Portal. More information is on the 49er Mart message board.
- Thank You: Thanks to our faculty and staff, the Workplace Community Giving Campaign raised $14,631 in support of the Arts and Science Council and the State Employees Combined Campaign.
- Student Success Grants: Faculty and staff are invited to explore initiatives that support increasing retention and graduation rates by applying for a student success grant. Four grants of $15,000 each will be awarded to collaborative teams of faculty and/or staff whose projects are selected. Proposals are due by 5 p.m., Friday, Nov. 1.
- CTL Workshops: Center for Teaching and Learning teaching certificate workshops and asynchronous courses occur in November and December. Register now to secure your spot!
- MSOC Final Regular Season Home Game: UNC Charlotte men’s soccer, which currently sits atop the American Athletic Conference standings, hosts its final home game of the regular season against University of Alabama at Birmingham at 7 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 27. Pack Transamerica Field and cheer on our Niners!
- Dining Services Survey: Want a shot at winning free Chick-fil-A for a month? Fill out the Voice to Vision survey and tell Dining Services how to make your dining experience better. Participants will be entered in a drawing for free Chick-fil-A.

- Student Union Spooky Season: Stop by Barnes & Noble in the Popp Martin Student Union from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., today, for Octo-Boo Fest! Make mystical sun catchers, spine-chilling DIY stress balls and frightening magic scratchers. Then, return for the Haunted Union from 7 to 10 p.m.
- Blood Drive at Target: The Target on University City Boulevard has partnered with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive. Students are invited to sign up to donate blood from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 25.
- Off-Campus Housing Fair: Considering living off campus next year but not sure where to start? Register for the Virtual Off-Campus Housing Fair at 5 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 6, to learn about off-campus apartment complexes and campus resources.
- October LAN Party: Niner Esports is hosting its second LAN party of the semester from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday Oct. 26, in Popp Martin Student Union, Room 340. Casual or competitive gamers are invited to nine hours of tournaments, free food and prizes.

Join the Center for Wellness Promotion for food, dancing and relationship trivia. Costumes are encouraged, and the best costume of the night will receive a prize.
- Chef Glenn’s Teaching Kitchen: Learn to make an upside-down puff pastry tart, fall harvest salad and mashed sweet potato with Chef Glenn at noon, Monday, Nov. 4. Space is limited; sign up online today.

Student Designs Lighting for Fall Dance Concert: Last summer, UNC Charlotte Levine Scholar D.J. Cook was selected for the prestigious ETC Fred Foster Student Mentorship Program and received guidance from lighting design luminaries. He’s putting this knowledge to the test as lead lighting designer for the Dance Department’s Fall Dance Concert.
