  • Graduate School Dean Finalists: The search committee for the dean of the Graduate School has announced four finalists for the position. The campus community is invited to attend each candidate’s public presentation and provide feedback.
  • A Record Year for Research: The Division of Research recognized faculty, staff and students at the 2023-24 Research Reception for their contributions to a record year.
  • Volunteer for Commencement: Volunteers are needed at Fall Commencement ceremonies Friday, Dec. 13, and Saturday, Dec. 14.
  • Meet Liz Morrell: Liz Morrell ’11 M.A., ’18 Ph.D., was named director of public policy research for the UNC Charlotte Urban Institute.

  • Pizarro’s Post-Traumatic Growth Journey: Juan Pizzaro, a master of social work student at UNC Charlotte, served for more than 12 years in the U.S. military. Now he is using everything he learned about mental health to help his fellow service members.

Eight National Pan-Hellenic Council fraternities and sororities are set to compete in the annual Homecoming NPHC Stroll Competition for a sellout crowd, tomorrow, in Popp Martin Student Union, Room 340. Four senior leaders discussed the team vibes ahead of the competition and what it means to them.

For more than 12 years, Juan Pizzaro served in combat arms and special operations units in the U.S. military. Now a master of social work student at UNC Charlotte, Pizzaro is using everything he has learned about mental health to help his fellow service members.
