More than 3,600 students were recognized with undergraduate degrees, graduate degrees and certificates during UNC Charlotte’s 2024 Fall Commencement ceremonies held in Dale F. Halton Arena Friday and Saturday, Dec. 13-14.

Here are just a few of the many great moments from the four commencement ceremonies.

Graduates from the School of Nursing were all smiles before receiving their undergraduate degrees during the morning commencement ceremony Friday, Dec. 13.

Mark West, professor of English, was University marshal for the Friday, Dec. 13, morning commencement ceremony for the College of Health and Human Services, College of Humanities & Earth and Social Sciences and the Klein College of Science.

Graduates celebrate receiving their undergraduate degrees during Friday’s afternoon commencement ceremony for the College of Arts + Architecture, Belk College of Business, College of Computing and Informatics, Cato College of Education and William States Lee College of Engineering.

A graduate is hooded during the doctoral hooding ceremony and conferral of degrees on Saturday, Dec. 14. He was one of 103 individuals who earned a doctoral degree.

Syreeta Taylor rings the old bell

Syreeta Taylor served as bell ringer for the Graduate School’s commencement ceremony Saturday, Dec. 14. She completed a master’s degree in interdisciplinary studies. Taylor also serves as executive assistant to the dean of the College of Humanities & Earth and Social Sciences. The old bell is rung nine times, once for each of the eight academic colleges and once for the Graduate School.
