Empower. Connect. Cultivate.

The Office of Human Resources, with strong support from senior leadership, presents the inaugural 2025 LEAD Symposium: Resilience and Wellbeing-Focused Leadership, on Thursday, Nov. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Barnhardt Student Activity Center.

This university-wide initiative reflects a strategic commitment to cultivating resilient, empathetic and high-performing leaders across campus. The symposium, powered by the learning and organizational development unit, will feature nationally recognized speakers and evidence-based sessions designed to equip faculty and staff with tools to lead effectively in today’s dynamic environment.

“Leadership development is not just an HR priority—it’s a university imperative,” said Deidra Harris Lumpkins, associate vice chancellor for human resources. “We are proud to partner with campus and aspiring leaders to foster a culture where wellbeing and resilience are central to how we lead, support and grow together.”
