December 2025 Commencement Ceremonies Scheduled

Commencement is one of UNC Charlotte’s most cherished traditions, one that marks a major milestone for graduates, their family members and the faculty and staff who have supported them throughout their academic journey.

The December commencement ceremonies will take place in Halton Arena on Friday, Dec. 12, and Saturday, Dec. 13.

Friday, Dec. 12, 10 a.m.
Undergraduate ceremony for:
Belk College of Business
College of Computing and Informatics
Cato College of Education
Klein College of Science

Friday, Dec. 12, 3 p.m.
Undergraduate ceremony for:
College of Arts + Architecture
William States Lee College of Engineering
College of Health and Human Services
College of Humanities & Earth and Social Sciences

Saturday, Dec. 13, 10 a.m.
Graduate School ceremony for:
Doctoral, Master’s and Graduate Certificates candidates for all programs

Cap and Gown Information

Graduates can pick-up caps and gowns at Barnes & Noble Charlotte in the Popp Martin Student Union beginning Wednesday, Oct. 29, through Friday, Dec. 5. Graduates will need a student ID card or mobile ID for verification; there is no cost for caps and gowns. Honor cords for Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude and Summa Cum Laude will be available for purchase. Online cap and gown orders can be placed from Nov. 3 -16. The link will be posted on the commencement website; a shipping fee will be charged.
