Paola Pilonieta provided comment for ‘Teachers need coaching, ongoing training to move from ‘science of reading’ knowledge to practice, researchers suggest’

“The goal should be to transition from the science of reading into the science of teaching reading,” said Pilonieta, a professor at UNC Charlotte who was part of a team that studied North Carolina’s implementation of its 2021 Excellent Public Schools Act.
