Niner Nation Gives BIG Student Event

Celebrate student impact, show your campus pride and support the 60+ student organizations and clubs during the Niner Nation Gives BIG Student Event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday, April 1, at Cauble Quad (formerly CHHS/CoEd Plaza).
“Friends of the Good” book launch

UNC Charlotte will welcome alumnus, philanthropist and WellWithAll CEO Demond T. Martin ’97 today, Tuesday, March 31, for the campus launch of his new book, “Friends of the Good.” The event begins at 5 p.m. in the Popp Martin Student Union and will feature conversations with individuals who shaped Martin’s personal and professional journey, including former roommates, fraternity brothers and mentor Erskine Bowles. A reception will follow.

You can help build the next chapter of UNC Charlotte by spreading the word about Niner Nation Gives. Use your voice, become an ambassador and challenge others to give.
- You + 2 Challenge: When you and at least two others make a gift through your ambassador link, you will receive exclusive For the Love of Charlotte branded socks for completing the You+2 Challenge.

- Early Support Bonus: The fund that receives the most gifts from individual faculty and staff supporters by 11:59 p.m., today, Tuesday, March 31, will unlock $1,000 in bonus bucks from University Advancement leaders Jen Ames Stuart and Joe Bost!
- Provost Challenge: The top three areas with the largest percentage increase over last year will receive bonus money, up to $2,500, from Provost Jennifer Troyer!
- Student org challenge: The student clubs or organizations in the top 10 of most individual donors on Wednesday, April 1, will receive a cash boost. The top three groups each will score $500, and groups four through 10 each will receive a $250 bonus.
- Student Emergency Fund match: Kevin Bailey, vice chancellor for student affairs, is matching all student gifts to the Student Emergency Fund dollar for dollar up to $1,049. Double your impact for fellow students in need now!
- Gene and Vickie Johnson Challenge: Legendary alumni Gene ’73 and Vickie ’71, ’82 Johnson are matching all student gifts 2-to-1, up to $100 each gift, during the 49 hours. Your $10 turns into $30 instantly for the same fund!
