Congratulations, 2026 summer graduates

UNC Charlotte conferred more than 1,100 degrees duirng the 2026 Summer Commencement ceremony held in Dale F. Halton Arena in the Barnhardt Student Activity Center Friday, Aug. 7. Graduates represented 13 countries, 23 states, 63 North Carolina counties and ranged in age from 18 to 62.

Carol Higham, teaching professor emeritus, served as University marshal for the ceremony.

Hal N. West-Page ’21, ’25 M.S., who receievd a doctor of phiosophy in applied mathematics, gave the commencement address.

Imani C. Tisdale

Imani C. Tisdale, bell ringer for the ceremony, completed a bachelor’s degree in exercise science. The Victory Bell is rung nine times, one for each of the eight academic colleges and once for the Graduate School.
