Must-have apps for Niners
Starting a new school year means staying connected, organized and ready for whatever the semester brings. From checking assignments and accessing campus resources to managing your 49er ID and getting around campus, having the right apps on your phone can make your life a little easier. Here are some must-have apps to download for the school year.
Canvas
Canvas is the University’s digital learning platform that helps students access course materials, submit assignments, view grades and communicate with instructors.
CATS-Pass
CATS-Pass is the official mobile ticketing app for the Charlotte Area Transit System. CATS-Pass offers a convenient way for you to purchase and use tickets instantly on your smartphone – anywhere, anytime. CATS-Pass also gives you access to trip planning tools.
Dine on Campus
Dine on Campus is a one-stop-shop for menus, operating hours, customized marketing messages and events. Guests can leave feedback for dining staff and create an allergen card to help personalize their dining experience.
Duo Mobile
Duo Mobile helps keep your University accounts secure through two-factor authentication, allowing you to quickly verify your identity when signing in.
Lime
Lime provides affordable, short-term bike and e-scooter rentals on campus. Set up your new account with your @charlotte.edu email address for discounted pricing. Find an available scooter or bike near you using the app’s GPS map, then scan the vehicle’s QR code to begin your ride.
LiveSafe
LiveSafe enables direct and discreet two-way communication with Campus Police using text, picture, video and audio. It also lets you virtually walk your friends and family home with SafeWalk.
ParkMobile
A mobile payment app that allows visitors to pay for parking, extend a metered parking time, receive time expiration alerts and view receipts. There are no refunds for ParkMobile transactions.
Passio GO!
Niner Transit and Niner Paratransit tracking with arrival predictions, schedules and service alerts is available with the Passio GO! app.
Rockbot
Use the Rockbot app to pick your own music in SoVi dining and help set the soundtrack for your next meal. Browse available songs, make requests and vote for your favorites while you dine.
Starbucks
The Starbucks app is a convenient way to order ahead for pickup, scan and pay in-store and customize your favorites. Rewards are built right in, so you’ll earn Stars towards free drinks and food on your purchases.
Transact eAccounts
Use the Transact eAccounts app to easily manage your 49er Card from your phone. Check your balance, add funds and access your campus account information on the go.
Transact Mobile Ordering
Use the Transact Mobile Ordering app to customize and pay for your favorite dishes from retail dining locations on campus.
