UNC Charlotte is preparing to transition to a new student advising platform that will bring advising, tutoring and honors programs, along with career center appointments and drop-ins, into one cohesive system while standardizing and modernizing advising processes across the University.

The University will transition from EAB Navigate to a Salesforce-based advising platform, Education Cloud, in January.

The new platform is scheduled to go live for advisors on Jan. 20 and for students on Jan. 25.

The new advising platform is intended to provide advising teams with a more comprehensive view of student information from multiple campus systems and enhance student-advisor interactions through targeted alerts and streamlined case management.

“Our transition to a new advising platform will give us the opportunity to create a more consistent advising experience across the University and support a more connected approach to student advising and student success,” said Teresa Petty, associate provost and dean of University College.

EAB Navigate remains UNC Charlotte’s active advising system. Students, faculty, professional advisors and peer advisors should continue using EAB Navigate for all appointments, notes and workflows until instructed otherwise.

The project team is currently leading stakeholder engagement, platform development and system testing to support a smooth transition to the new platform.

Students, advisors, faculty, peer advisors and support staff will receive tailored training and resources prior to launch.

More details, including project goals, implementation timeline and frequently asked questions, can be found on the project webpage. Additional information and resources will be added as the project progresses.
