Niner Esports, UNC Charlotte’s esports club, is celebrating its four nominations for the Scholars Collegiate Gaming Awards. To support the club, anyone with a valid email address can vote for Niner Esports on the Scholars website a max of once per day until Monday, Nov. 20.

The Association of Counseling Education and Supervision recently recognized UNC Charlotte’s counseling master’s program with the Robert Frank Outstanding Counselor Education Program Award for its excellence in standards and innovation. This national award is given to one master’s and one doctoral program annually.

Alumnus Antoine Williams ’03 has created four multimedia public artworks located in different quadrants of Washington, D.C., as part of The Nicholson Project, a paid artist residency program in the district.

It enables students to become leaders and fosters a philanthropic force across campus.

The “Bleachery Heritage Plaza,” designed by Associate Professor of Architecture Rachel Dickey, has received the 2023 BLT Built Design Award for Cultural Heritage Landscape in the Landscape Architecture category. This annual international competition recognizes “the most pioneering and groundbreaking designs” in four broad categories.

Misty Hathcock is the 2023 recipient of the Outstanding Contributions to Teacher Preparation Award from the North Carolina Association of Colleges for Teacher Education. Hathcock ’85, ’91 M.Ed., ’92 M.A., ’96, ’04 Ed.D. is director of alumni engagement and the N.C. New Teacher Support Program in the Cato College of Education.
