UNC Charlotte has been recognized for some of the best graduate programs in the nation by U.S. News and World Report.
Spring football game set for April 2
The Charlotte 49ers football program will hold its spring game at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 2. Head coach Will Healy will wrap up the team’s spring practice season with the annual Green-White scrimmage at Richardson Stadium. Doors will open at 1 p.m.
This event is free and open to the public. Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis, and the CRI Deck will be unavailable. Aside from certain reserved locations, seating is general admission.

Theatre Charlotte production features student, faculty artwork
The current Theatre Charlotte production, “Love, Loss & What I Wore,” features eight artworks by stage tech/design students and faculty from the Department of Theatre and Performing Arts Services. The play by Delia and Nora Ephron runs through April 10 in various locations in Charlotte.
EPIC atrium named for Dean Emeritus Bob Johnson
The EPIC atrium is now the Robert E. Johnson Atrium in recognition and honor of Bob Johnson, dean emeritus of The William States Lee College of Engineering. The naming took place during a special ceremony in the Albert & Freeman Energy Production and Infrastructure Center on Thursday, March 17.

University launches Office of Civil Rights and Title IX, other new initiatives
To further demonstrate and reinforce UNC Charlotte’s commitment to ensuring that students and employees experience a welcoming campus, the University is launching a new Office of Civil Rights and Title IX. This new office will provide faculty, staff and students with a centralized reporting structure for receiving and resolving reports of sexual misconduct, racial discrimination and other forms of discrimination and harassment. The changes will be effective July 1, 2022.

UNC Charlotte has launched an interactive diversity dashboard, a tool that offers fingertip access to data about the compositional diversity of the University’s students and employees.
Jeb Bush and Janet Napolitano to deliver 11th annual Chancellor’s Speaker Series
Jeb Bush, 43rd governor of Florida and candidate for the Republican presidential nomination in 2016, and Janet Napolitano, professor of public policy and director of the new Center for Security in Politics at University of California, Berkeley, will deliver the 11th annual Chancellor’s Speaker Series presentation, which is part of the annual UNC Charlotte Civic Series.
