UNC Charlotte’s inaugural Historically Underutilized Business Expo will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday, April 23, in the quad area across from the Popp Martin Student Union at 8838 Craver Rd.

Faculty from UNC Charlotte’s Cato College of Education will participate in the 2024 American Educational Research Associaton annual meeting in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, April 11-14. Learn more about their conference presentations.

UNC Charlotte is participating in the UNC System-wide Employee Engagement Survey, which launched Monday, March 25. All permanent, full-time employees at the University received the survey from ModernThink LLC, an independent research and consulting firm that specializes in higher education climate assessment. All are encouraged to participate. 

UNC Charlotte will serve as the campus host site for the 2024 American Association of Blacks in Higher Education annual Leadership and Mentoring Institute, July 14-20. 

An energy engineer in facilities management, Josue Hurtado supports energy management usage around campus. Learn more about his role and how the campus community can help achieve the University’s sustainability goals. Can you describe your role?

The UNC Charlotte Undergraduate Research Conference is a university-wide showcase of research projects completed by undergraduate students of all levels from all colleges and departments. This year’s conference will be from 9:15 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday, April 12, in the Popp Martin Student Union.

Why did you decide to become UNC Charlotte’s inaugural women’s lacrosse coach?

The growing sport of lacrosse really excites me. I’m so greatful more and more universities are adding the sport, and I wanted to be a part of making history at UNC Charlotte.
