- Academic Affairs Weekly News Digest: New York Times best-selling author Victoria Christopher Murray visits campus Thursday, March 6. Learn more about her talk, along with other important updates in this week’s news digest.
- Spring Break Building Access: This week, all academic and office buildings will require a University ID to access. Most public spaces will remain open but may have modified schedules. Review auxiliary services’ updated spring break hours of operations.
- Extended Maintenance: Important OneIT upgrades are underway through Sunday, March 9. Learn more about recent changes.
- Concur Updates: Effective today, Monday, March 3, the approval workflow will move ORS/OSPA approvals from last to first. Register for upcoming training sessions.
- Weather Preparedness: This week, March 2-8, is Severe Weather Preparedness Week. Visit the National Weather Service’s website each day for different weather preparedness tips. The University’s emergency management website also has information on preparing for weather and other emergencies.

UNC Charlotte’s Niner Academy webinar series offers expert guidance on college applications, test prep and career pathways. The first session, which focuses on the college admissions process, is scheduled for 6 to 7 p.m., tomorrow, Tuesday, March 4.

- Digital Communication Course: Register for “Digital Communication: Strategies for University Success and Efficient Email Management,” scheduled for 1 to 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 19, in Colvard Building, Room 5092. This course is part of human resources’ Unleash Your Niner Potential series for Charlotte employees.
- Youth Writing Workshops: Spring workshops offered by UNC Charlotte Youth Programs will provide young writers with tools to build their confidence and creativity; four sessions are scheduled for students grades one through 12. Workshops are from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Saturday, March 29, on Charlotte’s main campus.
- The Power of Rest: Register for Headspace’s virtual workshop “The Power of Rest: How to Recharge Day and Night” scheduled for noon, Thursday, March 13. Learn simple techniques to relax, calm your mind and create a dreamy environment for your best sleep.

Savannah Lake, the digital scholarship librarian at UNC Charlotte, was named a 2025 Core Emerging Leader by the American Library Association, placing her in a distinguished national cohort of professionals new to the field of librarianship.
