Hartley’s latest thriller set for Sept. 4 release

“Tears of the Jaguar,” the latest adult thriller by Andrew Hartley, Robinson Professor of Shakespeare Studies in the Department of Theatre, is scheduled for release, Tuesday, Sept. 4.

The novel sends museum curator and detective Deborah Miller to an obscure Mayan archaeological site in Mexico's Yucatan, where she discovers a valuable collection of rough-cut rubies hidden from the world for hundreds of years. Their theft leads her on a harrowing adventure.

Hartley, director of UNC Charlotte’s Shakespeare in Action Center, is the New York Times bestselling author of mystery/thrillers, fantasy adventures and historical fiction.
