Oscar Lansen, a senior lecturer in history, will be a featured speaker during the University’s annual Family Weekend, scheduled for Friday, Sept. 28, through Sunday, Sept. 30.
During this annual weekend, Niner Nation family members can participate in nearly 20 events that highlight departments, faculty members and other activities on campus.
Lansen’s presentation will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, in the Student Union Movie Theater; he was nominated and selected by students to speak during Family Weekend.
The Office of Parent and Family Programs coordinates Family Weekend, which will include a performance by the Second City Sketch Comedy Act. The Department of Music will hold a spotlight recital that showcases talented student performers.
