The UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens is sponsoring the workshop “Fall Bird Migration with Jeff Thomas” on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 14-15.
Participants in this two-day course will examine the lives of birds during the fall migratory season. Topics will include identification of migrants and non-migrants; energetics of migration; behavioral patterns; and habitat characteristics.
Friday’s session will meet from 6 to 9 p.m.; Saturday’s workshop is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $81. To register, email Esther Carrasco at ecarras1@uncc.edu.
