The J. Murrey Atkins Library will host “THATCamp Piedmont 2013” on Friday and Saturday, March 22-23, at UNC Charlotte Center City.
THATCamp stands for “The Humanities and Technology Camp.” This free, open meeting is designed to allow humanists and technologists of all skill levels to learn and build together in sessions proposed on the spot, according to library officials. Faculty, staff, students, technologists, librarians, archivists or individuals interested in the humanities are encouraged to attend.
The March 22 session will be devoted to hands-on workshops that practice using digital humanities tools. On March 23, the sessions will be “un-conference” with campers defining the agenda.
Online registration for “THATCamp Piedmont 2013” is through Sunday, March 10.
