UNC Charlotte Center City is the site for the March 18 community forum “Solving It Together: Mental Health and Crisis Care.” Sponsored by the Charlotte Observer and PNC Bank, this forum will feature a panel of experts, political leaders and law enforcement officials who will discuss the quality of emergency care for thousands of our neighbors who need it most.

Panelists will include Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Chief Rodney Monroe, MeckLINK Director Phil Endress, Mecklenburg County Commission Chairwoman Pat Cotham and Mebane Rash with the N.C. Center for Public Policy Research. Staff from the National Alliance on Mental Health-Charlotte and the Mental Health Association of Central Carolina will also be present. Charlotte Observer editorial page editor Taylor Batten will moderate.

The free forum will begin at 7 p.m.
