Guest speaker to discuss the ‘Crossroads of Civilization’

Monday, March 25, 2013

Ray Kea, professor of history at the University of California at Riverside, will present “Crossroads of Civilization: The Greater Sahara in the World History” at 5 p.m., Monday, March 25, in Denny Building, Room 200.

In this free, public presentation, Kea will argue that the Greater Sahara world was a historical crossroads at the core of major transformations that took place in the ancient world for about two millennia. The talk is part of the 2013 Spring Colloquium on African Civilization sponsored by the Africana Studies Department, in collaboration with the Charlotte-Africa Initiative.
