Greg Wiggan, a faculty member in the College of Education, had the co-authored work “Following the Northern Star: Caribbean Identities and Education in North American Schools” released by Nova Publishers.

The work explores the intersection of migration, identity development and the school achievement of Caribbean heritage children. Using family interviews, “Following the Northern Star” presents perspectives on Caribbean immigrants in North American schools and explains what happens when these immigrants transition from being the ethnic majority in their home country, into the minority in a foreign country.

Wiggan is an affiliate faculty member of the Africana Studies Department in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences.
