University video wins Gold MarCom Award

The six-minute University promotional film “Big Ideas, Big Future,” created by the Office of University Communications, recently received a national Gold MarCom Award for outstanding video by an educational institution.

The film was developed in early 2015 and screened initially for a special meeting of the UNC Board of Governors at UNC Charlotte Center City. The video outlines how the University has grown exponentially, driven by a “Big Idea,” which is to provide access to the educational opportunities and intellectual capital that have helped build Charlotte into one of America’s most vibrant regions.

MarCom Awards are a creative competition for individuals or companies involved in the concept, writing and design of print, visual, audio and Web materials and programs. The awards honor excellence and recognize the creativity and hard work of marketing and communications professionals.
