Volunteer for a cleaner, greener campus

In celebration of Earth Month, the Office of Waste Management and Recycling is sponsoring several events in which the campus community have opportunities to contribute to a cleaner, greener UNC Charlotte.

The spring campus cleanup will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 13. Registration tables will be located at Belk Plaza and near the Kulwicki Motorsports Laboratory. To pre-register, email Shannon Caveny-Cox (sccaveny@uncc.edu) or call 704-687-0604. Chancellor Philip L. Dubois has authorized 90 minutes of release time for all faculty and staff who wish to volunteer. Participation is voluntary and must be approved by each employee’s supervisor.

On Wednesday, April 20, the University will hold its annual Earth Day Festival from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Belk Plaza.
