CHHS continues to lead COACHE survey participation, deadline is April 8

COACHE survey
Wednesday, April 4, 2018

The College of Health and Human Services still has the highest response rate for the COACHE survey at 56 percent with a completion rate of 51 percent.

Overall, the University has a 38 percent response rate by faculty members; the goal is to attain a 50 percent response rate.  The current completion rate is 32 percent

The Office of Academic Affairs looks closely at the results of the COACHE survey and uses the data to determine in which areas the institution is doing a good job in meeting faculty needs and to inform strategies to address areas of concern. In addition to evaluating faculty perceptions of climate at UNC Charlotte, the COACHE data allows faculty members to compare measures of faculty climate satisfaction at their institution with a number of peer institutions.

To participate, faculty members will complete a 30-minute, web-based survey; faculty members have received unique links to the survey via email from COACHE (coachefaculty@opinioncast.com). COACHE will not use names or email addresses for any purposes other than this research. April 8 is the deadline to complete the survey.

Response and completion rates for the other colleges are:

  • Belk College of Business – 34.75 percent, 25 percent
  • Cato College of Education – 49 percent and 42 percent
  • College of Arts + Architecture -   45 percent and 39.25 percent
  • College of Computing and Informatics – 27 percent for both
  • College of Liberal Arts & Sciences – 45.76 percent and 38.7 percent
  • Lee College of Engineering – 38 percent and 29 percent

In some cases, faculty members have opened the survey and started to complete questions but did not finish.
