Finalists for UCOMM associate vice chancellor to give campus presentations
The Division for University Advancement will host campus forums for the three finalists for the position of Associate Vice Chancellor for University Communications.
Perhaps no field has changed in the past two decades as much as communications. Social media, data analytics and the proliferation of platforms and channels have reshaped the way that University Communications develops and delivers its messaging. Moreover, University Communications operates within a playing field that is constantly evolving. To help the campus better understand the candidates’ vision for the future, each finalist, during a 30-40 minute presentation, will respond to the simple question: What’s next?
Candidates will deliver their presentations in Tate Hall, Harris Alumni Center; times and dates are listed below. Faculty and staff are encouraged to attend.
Greg Delviscio, associate vice president of communications and marketing, Binghamton University – State University of New York, will present at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 10.
Jaime Hunt, vice chancellor for strategic communications, Winston- Salem State University, will present at 11 a.m., Friday, July 12.
Colleen Penhall, former vice president, corporate communications, Lowe’s Home Improvement, will present at 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 16.
The UNC Charlotte Associate Vice Chancellor for University Communications reports to the Vice Chancellor for the Division of University Advancement. The position provides vision and leadership for all University Communications. This position will lead and grow a transformative team that proactively communicates the University’s story, orchestrates and distinguishes its branding, engages meaningfully with the institution’s advancement initiatives, enhances collaboration within the University’s network of communication professionals, and effectively manages crisis communications.
