Join us for the Ninth Annual Excellence in Leadership Awards, sponsored by the Black Alumni Chapter, as we recognize the accomplishments of UNC Charlotte alumni and friends who have achieved excellence in the areas of education, entrepreneurship, financial services, health care, philanthropy, public service and STEM.
Homecoming Friday Fest

Join fellow 49ers for Friday Fest: fun, food trucks and entertainment on the College of Health and Human Services/Cato College of Education Plaza. No registration required.
Stroll Competition
Friday, Sept. 27, 7 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.)

Join the historically African American fraternities and sororities in their annual Homecoming Stroll Competition. Watch as these groups give it their all in representing their organizations through strolling and dance.
Oktoberfest and 49er Tailgate Village
Saturday, Sept. 28, 12:30 to 3 p.m.
Hauser Alumni Pavilion
A popular annual event is back for its sixth year: 49er Oktoberfest! As part of an extended 49er Tailgate Village, the Alumni Association has lined up your favorite local and regional brewers to serve their latest and greatest. Admission is included with cost of adult tailgate and includes delicious game-day themed food stations, open bar with a variety of beer and wine selections, water and ice-cold soft drinks, brewery samples, music and family-friendly games and more.
49ers vs. Florida Atlantic Football Game
Saturday, Sept. 28, 3:30 p.m.
Jerry Richardson Stadium
Wear your green and white and cheer the Charlotte 49ers on to victory as they take on Florida Atlantic. Football game tickets and/or parking can be purchased through Charlotte 49ers Athletics.
Black Alumni After Party
Saturday, Sept. 28, 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Stat’s Bar and Restaurant
The Black Alumni Chapter’s After Party is a Homecoming tradition! Join us for a late night of entertainment at Stat’s Bar and Restaurant with DJ, food, drinks and mingling with fellow 49er alumni.
